Cannondale 7kg bike. OMG

I bet you didn’t think 7kg was quite possible for a XC rig but seems like Cannondale has done it. Breaking 16 pounds on the scale is their specially built Flash Carbon. Its rigged with Di-2 modified shifters with some serious shavings all over the bike. Think removing the crank and shave, or removing a already featherlite Podium MMX spokes to rebuilt. Price? $15k USD. I mean, its a Ferrari of XC bike isn’t it?

**edited** Oh did I mention, this bike uses Scrub Components. Now available on Conticomponents.com 41g each. FTW!

Sick Pig

Friday and Saturday was a completely horrible day for me as I lay in bed like a sick pig. Not too sure what caused it but I didn’t have anything unusual. Just a normal christmas eve dinner and no spectacular seafood. But well, woke up Friday morning feeling completely awful. I thought some light riding in BT and T-15 might help but towards the end of my second lap of BT, when I was racing against this L&T rider, my stomach went completely haywire. Reached home only to puke some of my Thursday’s dinner out. After skipping lunch, I continued to puke out more of Thursday’s dinner and Thursday’s lunch. Following which a full bout of diarrhea ensued. By evening, a high fever had hit me. Yeap. What a way to celebrate Christmas.

It was so horrible that on Boxing day I had to visit the doctors to get Antibiotics and a full course of medicine. Lay in bed the entire Saturday. Entire Friday and Saturday I had almost nothing in my stomach.

Sunday felt a lot better after going to church. I had a light porridge for both breakfast and lunch. Well, maybe its God’s way of saying that I should depend on him. This was coincidentally repeated both in today’s sermon and by Joshua later in the day! How interesting.

On a lighter note, I’ve installed new KCNC SC flat bars on my bike. They’re extremely light and responsive. Also got new Jagwires to go on my bike thanks to Santa Claus! Haha. You can get both Jagwires and KCNC bars HERE.
