Condemn McD all you want but here are some hard facts we should analyze before saying whats acceptable and whats not.
Health Promotion Board says…
For a 19-29 yr old
Recommended Intake:
energy (kcal): 2550
protein: 68g
fats: 71g
saturated fat: 24g
cholesterol: 300mg
carbohydrate: 351g
dietary fibre: 26g
sodium: 1700mg
So with these facts, taken against a standard McSpicy meal which most Singaporeans in the age group would consume in a meal. Their meal would consume the following percentage of daily recommended.
Energy: 43%, Protein: n/a, Fats: 63%, Saturated Fat: 66%, Cholesterol: 25%, Dietary Fibre: 26%, Sodium: 95%,
As you can see from the above percentages, Sodium is definitely on the high side. The remaining percentages, I believe you decide on your own.
